Appeals policy

Purpose:
This policy provides a structured process for reviewing and resolving appeals related to decisions made during complaint investigations or other program-related matters.
Scope:
This policy applies to all participants who wish to appeal a decision made by Trike regarding the Food Handler training suite.
Policy Statement:
We ensure that appeals are handled fairly, transparently, and independently of the original decision-makers.
Procedure:
1. Submission of Appeals:
• Appeals must be submitted in writing within 14 days of receiving the original decision.
• The appeal should include the following:
• Details of the original complaint or decision.
• The reason for the appeal.
• Supporting documentation, if applicable.
• Appeals should be sent to appeals@trike.co
2. Acknowledgment:
• An acknowledgment of receipt will be sent within 3 business days.
3. Review Process:
• Appeals will be reviewed by the Appeals Committee, consisting of individuals not involved in the original decision.
• The review process may involve additional interviews, document reviews, or other relevant actions.
4. Resolution:
• The Appeals Committee will issue a written decision within 21 business days of receiving the appeal.
• This decision is final.
5. Record Keeping:
• All appeals, supporting documents, and resolutions will be documented and retained for a minimum of three years.
